Emma Goldman: The Most Dangerous Woman in America

University of California Press is going to publish my new, literary biography of Emma Goldman, working title: “The Most Dangerous Woman in America.”  I’ll look at her life through three episodes: Serving incognito as a nurse in the slums of the lower East side; Traveling the circuit as an anarchist orator and magazine editor; and writing her memoirs on the Côte d’azur. She was known as America’s foremost radical, a gadfly to the American conscience, “the arch-symbol of godlessness”. My brother says I have been writing this book since I was twelve years old. Pub date sometime in 2028.  Details to come!
