The business portion of the meeting will begin promptly at 3:00 PM, immediately followed by LESLIE BRODY’s talk slated to start at 3:30 PM. The Friends of A. K. Smiley Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to providing funds to augment Redlands’ public library collections, support infrastructure needs, and to support programing for children and the community. Funds are raised through the sale of books, vinyl, and digital media in the Friends’ Bookstore on the lower level of A. K. Smiley Public Library, the library’s silent auction of rare books, and through special sales. The donation of books, vinyl, and digital media by the community enable the Friends to continue this support. The Friends welcome volunteers to help in their Bookstore and at special sales events. For more information, follow the group on Facebook and Instagram @friendsofsmileylibrary for news and updates.
